Polycab India has signed a significant agreement worth INR 6,447 crore with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to implement amended BharatNet Phase-III projects in Karnataka, Goa, and Puducherry. As part of Package 4, Polycab will deploy a robust middle-mile network, enabling high-speed broadband connectivity across all inhabited Gram Panchayats (GPs) and villages in the three states. This initiative is a key step toward advancing the government’s vision of bridging the digital divide and ensuring inclusive digital access across rural India.
The agreement was formalized in the presence of Shri Ajay Jaisinghani; A Robert J Ravi I T S, CMD, BSNL; Mr. Sudhakar Rao Papa, Director (EB) & Head, BharatNet; and Mr. Sudhir Gupta, PGM, BharatNet. This collaboration reflects a strategic alignment between public infrastructure goals and private sector execution capabilities.
The project underscores the company’s role as a technologically agile solution-provider. With this development, Polycab reinforces its commitment to supporting national digital infrastructure initiatives, aligning closely with PM Modi’s vision of digital empowerment for rural communities.
